Will PROFIS account for plate washers in resisting pullout?

When using plate washers on anchor rods, does PROFIS Anchor account for the increased bearing area provided by the plate washers for resistance to pullout?  (Equation D-15 of ACI 318)

Thanks

Luke,

In PROFIS Anchor, there is no option that will allow the use of a post-installed anchor (specifically a threaded rod with an adhesive anchor) to utilize a plate or washer installed at the embedment depth of the anchor. If using a cast-in-place anchor, PROFIS Anchor will allow for this feature to be toggled, and PROFIS Anchor will only modify the concrete breakout calculation in tension (reference ACI 318-14 D.5.2.8). In the event that a threaded rod is going to utilize a plate or washer, since Hilti has no test data available for this scenario, it would be up to the design engineer to determine how to the evaluate the project parameters based on their engineering judgement.

Bryan
