Why does PROFIS Anchor limit the embedment depth for adhesive anchors?

thank you for reaching out to us. When "user selected embedment depth" is selected, PROFIS Anchor will perform calculations for the value input in the box for embedment. An error message will appear when an embedment depth is input that is deeper than the maximum that is allowed. CSA A23.3-14 Annex D.5.2.4 states that "for adhesive anchors with embedment depths 4da≤hef≤20da, the bond strength requirements shall be considered satisfied by the design procedure of Clause D.6.5." Deeper embedment depths than this are outside the scope of the design of post-installed adhesive anchors per CSA A23.3-14 Annex D, and are therefore beyond the limitations of PROFIS Anchor.
