What do “hole condition 1” and “hole condition 2” mean?

The base material tab in PROFIS Anchor gives me the option to select “hole condition 1” or “hole condition 2” for the HIT-Z threaded rod and HY 200.

Dear customer,

Well this is a good question. ”Hole condition 1” and “hole condition 2” are terms that are used to reference the drilling method for a HIT-Z threaded rod installed with HIT-HY 200 adhesive. “Hole condition 1” does not require the dust created by hammer drilling to be removed from the drilled hole. “Hole condition 2” does require the dust created by hammer drilling to be removed from the drilled hole.

“Hole condition 1” requires a thicker concrete member versus “hole condition 2” in order for excess dust created during the hammer drilling process to be deposited at the bottom of the hole, beyond the embedded depth of the HIT-Z threaded. Please feel free to reach out any time, if you need additional information.

Kind Regards
Morgan
