Are post-installed adhesive anchors suitable for high seismic areas? If yes, are there specific details or requirements?

H. Abd El Baky,
For structures that are located in high seismic areas (Seismic Design Categories C-F), you will need to reference a product’s ICC-ES Evaluation Report to verify if it has been approved for seismic approvals. Some products that are approved for Seismic Design Categories A-F are:
- HIT-RE 500 V3 (https://www.hilti.com/anchor-systems/injectable-adhesive-anchors/r4929903)
- HIT-HY 200 (https://www.hilti.com/anchor-systems/injectable-adhesive-anchors/r4993)
- HIT-RE 100 (https://www.hilti.com/anchor-systems/injectable-adhesive-anchors/r4929723)
On these product pages, you can access the ICC-ES Evaluation Reports which will go through seismic approvals and design. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our Engineering team at hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com
