Per ASTM E2393 section 10.12.2 it states that the inspector can do "post installation inspection" of the joints EXCEPT for "mechanical systems" which shall be done visually. Does this mean if my Curtain Wall insulation appears on my project already installed in the glass from a off site location would the inspector need to witness it removed and reinstalled by the contractor or would they just skip this inspection even though it attachment methods are listed in my tested listed system that was approved

Good morning Brent,

Typically inspectors will reach out to the curtain wall manufacturer to confirm installation of the proper referenced system with either pictures or explanation of the installation but this is up to the inspector and how they prefer to handle these specific applciations./scenarios.
