Sean,

For natural stone anchorages, Hilti does not have specific test data to support anchoring into natural stones base materials due to the variability of there characteristics of the rock including but not limited to: compressive strength, slake durability, jointing, degree of weathering, as well as the drilling method. In addition, there are no formal qualification tests that can be referenced to test anchors into natural stone base materials. With that being said, customers have used true epoxy anchors (ex. HIlti HIT-RE 500 V3) in the past based on their design engineer's judgement; however, site specific testing is recommended to evaluate the anchor system due to the lack of data.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Regards,

Bryan
