Is there an adhesive (anchor) available that is acceptable for very cold temperatures (-32 deg C)?   Installation would occur during relatively warmer temperatures.   We typically use HAS-E rods with HY-200 or HIT-ICE, though I see HIT-ICE is rated only to -23 degree C.  Thanks.

Anne,

Per ACI355.4-11 Section 3.2.1.8, adhesive anchors are evaluated for service temperatures between -40 deg F and the maximum long/short term temperatures during qualification testing. As you have stated, Hilti’s adhesive anchors will have temperature ranges for installation; however, if the adhesive anchor has been tested in accordance with ACI 355.4-11 (or AC308), it has been evaluated for the low temperature condition listed above.

Bryan
