T. Shek,

PROFIS Anchor utilizes the ACI 318 Anchoring-to-Concrete provisions, also known as Strength Design, which does not have a factor of safety that is applied to the loads.  Instead, the nominal design strength (Nn or Vn) is calculated for the various failure modes, and then a corresponding phi-factor is applied to calculate a Design Strength, which is then compared to the Factored Service Loads (Nua or Vua) of a project.  In PROFIS Anchor, the user is required to put in the Factored Service Load (Nua and/or Vua) in order to compare against the ACI 318 Anchoring-to-Conrete provisions and corresponding ICC-ES Evaluation Report.
