Headwall Firestop Joint at a cmu wall and concrete floor

Please provide me a detail of a 1 hour rated cmu wall up to the bottom of a cast in place concrete floor. The gap does not exceed 2 inches.

HW-D-1058 will work but I need the same for a one hour wall instead of three hours. Thank you.

Hello Larry,

Thanks for your question. The system you referenced will work for your application. 3hr systems work for 3hr joints or any hourly rating less than 3hrs. So, for example a 2hr head of wall joint could be treated with a 4hr system.
Other systems that would work are HW-D-1104, HW-D-1078 and HW-D-1070. Two of them use other products (sealants) but any will work for your joint. I have attached on of these systems below for your convenience.

Hi Larry, Does HWD1078 as attached by you comply with UL 1479 ? if not then what system should I install? we have CMU walls to CMU wall joints and also CMU wall to conc. slab joints. Thank you
