Hi Johnpaul. Thank you for checking out ASK Hilti! First, you should direct your attention to 2015 IBC code section 714.4. As you can see, only the “ceiling membrane of a roof/ceiling assembly” must be firestopped so that fire does not enter into the protected space of the roof/ceiling assembly.

So the answer is yes, there's a room membrane that may require firestopping?

If that is the case then what is the UL detail for it? I need a detail for electrical conduit penetrations.
