MY HILTI INTERNSHIP

Hilti is a company that decorates its shelves with awards attributed to their excellent culture, benefits and work-life balance. Just a few days after starting my engineering internship here at Hilti, it became clear that these awards are well-deserved, but the beautiful office and cozy massage chair weren’t what wowed me—the people did. I spent the summer working on a tight knit engineering team that consisted of people that were willing to drop what they were doing to offer me help with work, life, or school at a moment’s notice. As a Hilti intern you won’t simply be asked to do meaningless busy work, but rather worthwhile work that creates a genuine impact for the company, as well as yourself. If you are looking for an easy summer job to pass the time, Hilti may not be the place for you. However, if you are looking for a position that will both challenge and inspire you, then I can’t name a better place than Hilti. I will be going back to school this fall for my final (and most difficult) year at the University of Texas at Austin, and I couldn’t feel more prepared. I have grown both personally and professionally this summer, and I will take home with me so many life lessons and words of advice that will certainly stay with me throughout my career. From the onboarding team in HR to the global team in Schaan, I was surrounded by people who helped me apply and develop my engineering knowledge, motivated me to push my limits, and offered an overwhelming world of support. A company is only as good as the people in it, and that fact is why I can confidently say that Hilti is an incredible company.
