Hilti Anchoring Solutions for the Nuclear Industry

Hilti has been supplying post-installed mechanical anchors under a nuclear quality program since 1975. The Hilti nuclear quality program is designed to meet the requirements of the Nuclear Quality Assurance NQA-1 2000 program and the quality assurance criteria, 10CFR50 Appendix B, under the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Hilti has conducted performance tests and prepared an ACI 349-01 design report for the Hilti HDA Undercut Anchor, the HSL-4 Expansion Anchor, and the KB-TZ2 Expansion Anchor in order to meet the stringent quality and safety requirements of the nuclear industry.  The reports conclude that the performed testing on all three anchors meets the intent of ACI 355.2-01 Qualification of Post-Installed Mechanical Anchors in Concrete and ACI 349-01 Code Requirements for Nuclear Safety Related Concrete Structures. The reports also include a guide to assist in the design of Hilti anchors in accordance with ACI 349-01 Appendix B. These reports are available for your use and documentation.
