HILTI ANCHOR FASTENING TECHNICAL GUIDE

Our new North American Product Technical Guide Volume 2: Anchor Fastening Technical Guide is now available online and will be available soon through your Hilti Field Engineer. This guide provides anchor design information for all of our Hilti anchoring products including Hilti simplified tables.

WHAT IS NEW?

HIT-HY 270 Adhesive Anchoring System

Hilti HIT-HY 270 is our new and improved adhesive anchor for masonry. Hilti HIT-HY 270 is approved by ICC-ES with no hole cleaning using the Hilti SafeSet™ Method using the Hilti Hollow Drill Bit and vacuum. It is approved for a variety of base materials including grouted and ungrouted concrete masonry block walls, solid and hollow brick walls and unreinforced multi-wythe brick walls referred to as unreinforced masonry or URM.

 
HIT-ICE Adhesive Anchoring System

The HIT-ICE has been tested with the Hilti SafeSet™ System with the use of the Hilti Hollow Drill Bit and vacuum. New design tables have been provided to incorporate Strength Design Provisions per ACI-318 and CSA A23.3. Now you can use Hilti’s cold weather adhesive anchoring product with no manual hole cleaning using the Hilti SafeSet™ System.

HAS Threaded Rods

Hilti carbon steel HAS Rod portfolio is now compliant with ASTM F1554. The new enhanced carbon steel rods allow engineers to design ductile fastening points with predictable steel failure for seismic applications. 

KWIK Bolt TZ and KWIK Bolt 3

Hilti KWIK Bolt TZ and KWIK Bolt 3 expansion anchors have been tested and approved to be set with the Hilti SafeSet System using the SIW 6AT and the SI-AT Adaptive Torque Module. This is the first impact wrench-based Adaptive Torque system (SIW 6AT-A22 and SI-AT-A22 module) on the market receiving ICC-ESR approvals for stud anchor installations. The Hilti SIW 6AT plus SI-AT module is calibrated to install anchors with the appropriate pretension, comparable to that provided by installation with a calibrated torque wrench.

KWIK HUS-EZ P, KWIK HUS-EZ E, and KWIK HUS-EZ I

Hilti has expanded its KWIK-HUS EZ portfolio to include a new ¼” diameter pan head option, a new ¼” diameter with 3/8” diameter externally threaded head anchor, and 3/8” diameter anchor with a 1/2” internal thread. Comprehensive load tables including installations in concrete, grouted masonry and lightweight concrete over metal deck are provided for design. Hilti has a complete portfolio of robust screw anchors for virtually every application.

HUS-HR/-CR Stainless Steel Screw Anchors

Hilti has also expanded its Screw Anchor portfolio to include a hex head and countersunk Stainless Steel anchor, the HUS-HR. Hilti customers can now have the advantages of screw anchors for applications in exterior environments.

HDI-P TZ Drop-in Anchors

Hilti has optimized its drop-in anchor to provide reliable fastenings in post-tensioned concrete slabs with a nominal ¾” embedment depth. The new HDI-P TZ anchor is approved by ICC-ES for use in cracked and uncracked concrete including seismic areas. With the auto-setting tool, the HDI-P TZ provides productive installation while minimizing the risk of hitting a cable in drilling.

KCM-WF/PD Cast-In Anchors

Hilti KCM-WF/PD is a new multi thread cast-in anchor for wood formed concrete which allows for the option of different diameter threaded rods to be installed in the one anchor type.  The anchor can be easily installed using the setting tool and resists being kicked over during jobsite construction. The pan deck version is designed without nails and with a wider base specifically for attaching to the pan joist formwork.

KCM-MD Cast-In Anchors

Hilti has a new multi thread cast-in anchor for use in concrete over metal deck which allows for installation of different diameter threaded rods to be installed in the same anchor. The KCM-MD is available with a short plate to sit in the flute of the metal deck and a long plate option to span the deck. Pre-installed screws allow for easy installation into the metal deck.
