MC cable firestopping through 1, 2, 3 hour walls
I am looking for a fire stop detail for MC cable through a 1, 2, or 3 hour rated wall. Please note, the MC cable used notes "Listed for use with UL 1479 - 1, 2, and 3 Hour Through-Penetration Firestop Systems". Does system no. W-L-3385 work for all MC cable penetrations? Or is a different system required for cables with a UL 1479 listing?

Hi John - it looks like you are on the right track with W-L-3385. Acceptance of the system will be up to the discretion of the project's AHJ, but I think you have the right system for your application provided your on-site conditions meet all the parameters outlined in the system.
