Hollow Cell Masonry Anchor Profis results has 2in embed - Not Safe!
- I have a Profis file where I used Hilti HY 270 w/ 1/2in SS threaded rod and Hilti sieve sleeve. Profis results have a 2in embed and 85% utilization. This seems unreasonable and Hilti written information specifies a 4 1/2" embed. I guess my question is this something that needs to be fixed in Profis or am I doing something wrong (see attached output) when entering data. The software doesn't allow the user to overwrite the embedment for this product.

Hi Tracy,
The effective embedment depth for HIT-HY 270 with threaded rods is 2 inches for all diameters per Hilti's technical data found on page 183 of Hilti's Anchor Fastening Product Technical Guide. This embedment depth was found through testing of the adhesive anchoring system with the screen tube for hollow CMU.
